Conveyor System
A Conveyor System is not just the belt that is prominently seen. As mentioned above, a belt conveyor would help any business reduce labor costs. Perhaps the greatest advantage of a belt conveyor system is their flexibility. If maintained correctly any conveyor belt system can be in service for years if not decades.
There are also specialized belts available. Belt conveyor systems can save industries a lot of money on labor. As already mentioned, belt conveyor systems find a host of applications in modern industry. Belt conveyors can be used for heavy loads, such as in aggregate industries. Aggregate belt conveyor impact beds absorb the force of the loads to protect the belt and keep it running smoothly for years. There are magnetized belts that keep scrap from flying off the belt, steel belts that can carry hot and oily parts, cleated food grade belts for sanitary food processing and distribution. Belts can even be spliced and joined together, such as in vulcanizing coal conveyor belts.
Belt conveyor systems should be checked regularly for wear and tear. You also have screw conveyors which move loads turning a screw-type mechanism, belt conveyors which move using a belt and chain conveyors which move items using a chain.
